It is sutured to the muscles connected to the rectus at the time of enucleation and then helps to provide movement when the prosthesis is applied. Our implants were emptied and lightened to prevent sagging of the eye pocket over time. The size of the implants varies between 12-14-16-18-20 mm in diameter.
